HNF6, also known as ONECUT1, is a member of the homeodomain transcription factor family. HNF6 functions as a transcriptional activator that controls the development of pancreatic ducts during development. HNF6 binds to gene promoters such as those of HNF3B and TTR and is important for the transcription of genes regulating liver development.
