Recommended dilutions
WB: Use at a concentration of 1 - 4 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 74 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 74 kDa).
Can be blocked with Histidine decarboxylase peptide (ab55801).
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Histidine decarboxylase(HDC) is the enzyme that calalyses the conversion of histidine into histamine. It can be found in the histamine secreting ECL cells of some species, as well as in the mast cells.The biogenic amine histamine is an important modulator of numerous physiological processes, including neurotransmission, gastric acid secretion and smooth muscle tone.
