Question 1

Thursday 02-February-2012

Thanks for your help with that order. I have another question for an additional project we are initiating requiring lots of different antibodies. This is a clinical diagnostics projects, and all antibodies we will use for that need to be CE certified for diagnostic purposes. Since I did not find any information on this on your website, I wanted to ask you if you have any CE certified antibodies directed against these (human) proteins:

ANSWER:

Thank you for contacting Abcam.

All of our products are for research purposes only and are not certified for clinical research applications.

I am sorry that I could not be more helpful in this matter.

Question 2

Wednesday 16-November-2005

I'd like to use anti-histone to detect the monkey's (African Green Monkey) histone. Do you have any reactivity data of ab10799 of monkey's histone? And I'd also like to have histone H3 peptide as positive control of anti-histone H3(ab10799). Which histone H3 peptide can I use for ab10799? Can I have one more question? I also checked ab24834. But ab10799 and ab24834, both of them look same. Can I think these 2 antibodies are same reactivity to histone H3?

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry.

As far as we know, ab10799 has not been tested in monkey. However, it is predicted to react with a wide range of other species and all Mammals due to sequence homology.

The immunizing peptide is available as catalog number ab12149.

Ab10799 and ab24834 appear to be very similar. I would not be able to recommend one over the other. They would use the same immunizing peptide.

I hope this information helps, please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information,
