Fast track antibodies constitute a diverse group of products that have been released to accelerate your research, but are not yet fully characterized. They have all been affinity purified and show high titre values against the immunizing peptide (by ELISA).Fast track terms of use
ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. By ELISA this antibody looks specific to the dual modification with no cross reactivity with either of the single modifications in ELISA.
This antibody gave a positive result in ELISA against the immunising peptide.
For the following peptides it gave the results shown: the non-modified equivalent peptide (ab14664) - negative result, Histone H3 tri methyl K9 peptide (ab1342) - negative result, Histone H3 phospho T3 (ab17578) -negative result.
This indicates that it is specific for the dual modified peptide.
Is unsuitable for WB. Unfortunately we are unable to get an image in WB and this could be due to this dual modified histone not being expressed in our normal histone lysate.
Not tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fibre is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures.
