Relevance 

Bovine Rhinotracheitis virus remains inactive and 'hidden' following an infection and is thought to be re-activated by stresses applied to the animal. Once the virus becomes reactivated, the infected animal sheds the virus through secretions of the eyes, nose and reproductive organs.
