Relevance
|
IFIT2 is a member of the IFIT family family of proteins and contains 6 TPR repeats. It is induced by interferons and is strongly upregulated in peripheral blood in children during the acute phase of influenza. In mice, IFIT2 protein has been shown to interact with microtubules in vitro, co-localizes with beta-tubulin in vivo and is enriched in the mitotic spindle of non-neuronal cells undergoing mitosis.

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - IFIT2 antibody (ab55837)
The top image shows the mitotic spindle of NIH3T3 cells stained by DAPI (4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole) which fluoresces blue to visualize nuclear DNA.
The middle image shows the mitotic spindle of NIH3T3 cells stained by ab55837 at 50µg/ml using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG conjugated to TRITC (tetramethylrhodamine isothiocyanate) as a secondary antibody.
The bottom image shows the two images above, superimposed on top of each other.
