Recommended dilutions
ChIP: Use 5-10µg for 25µg of chromatin
ELISA: 1/62500.
IHC-P: Use at a concentration of 4-8 µg/ml.
WB: Use at a concentration of 0.5 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 212 kDa.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

KAT4 / TAF1 also known as TBP Associated Factor 1 is the largest subunit of the transcription factor TFIID. Studies have shown that KAT4 has serine/threonine domains that can autophosphorylate the large subunit of TFIIF. More recent studies have shown that it is also a histone acetylytransferase, suggesting that transcriptional co activators may also have a role in targeting acetylation activity to promoters.

KAT4 / TBP Associated Factor 1 antibody - ChIP Grade (ab28450) at 0.5 µg/ml + Daudi cell lysate
Predicted band size : 212 kDa

ChIP - TAF1 antibody - ChIP Grade (ab28450)
Chromatin was prepared from Hela cells according to the Abcam X-ChIP protocol. Cells were fixed with formaldehyde for 10mins. The ChIP was performed with 25µg of chromatin, 8µg of ab28450 (blue), and 20µl of Protein A/G sepharose beads. No antibody was added to the beads control (yellow). The immunoprecipitated DNA was quantified by real time PCR (Taqman and sybr green approach). Primers and probes for the actively transcribed genes GAPDH and ACT1 are located in the core promoter.
