Relevance
|
L3MBTL2 is a putative Polycomb group (PcG) protein which contains 1 FCS-type zinc finger and 4 MBT repeats. These proteins are believed to cause a chromatin modification that leads to an inheritable repression in gene transcription. It is believed that its association with a chromatin remodelling complex may also contribute to prevent expression of genes that trigger the cell into mitosis.
