The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
| Application | Notes |
|---|---|
| ELISA | ELISA: 1/1.5625e+006. |
| WB | WB: Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 47 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 42 kDa). Good results were obtained when blocked with 5% non-fat dry milk in 0.05% PBS-T. |
Target
- FunctionBinds to the LIM domain of a wide variety of LIM domain-containing transcription factors. May regulate the transcriptional activity of LIM-containing proteins by determining specific partner interactions. May play a role in the development of motor neurons. Acts synergistically with LHX1/LIM1 in axis formation and activation of gene expression. Acts with LMO2 in the regulation of red blood cell development, maintaining erythroid precursors in an immature state.
- Tissue specificityExpressed in a wide range of adult tissues including brain, heart, skeletal muscle, colon, thymus, spleen, kidney, liver, small intestine, lung and peripheral blood leukocytes.
- Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the LDB family.
- DomainThe dimerization domain is located in the N-terminus.
- Post-translational
modificationsUbiquitinated by RLIM/RNF12, leading to its degradation by the proteasome. - Cellular localizationNucleus.

Anti-LDB1 antibody (ab48573) at 1 µg/ml + Jurkat cell lysate at 10 µg
Secondary
HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit IgG at 1/50000 dilution
Predicted band size : 42 kDa
Observed band size : 47 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
Additional bands at : 50 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.
