Here is the clarifying explanation regarding the immunogen: The immunogenic sequence was chosen based on the mutated sequence in Q96QZ7-3 or 4 and therefore it is absent in other isoforms including isoform 1.  It is in the C-terminal region but not to the very C-terminus.

Thank you for contacting us. I heard back from the lab with the following information:

ab37543 can potentially recognize isoform 3 or 4. However, I am confused about this reply since the isoforms 3 and 4 (according to the UniProt database entry form the human protein http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q96QZ7) lack the C-terminal 235 residues.

The immunogen is stated as a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide (10-30 aa in length) at the C terminus of last 50 aa of Human BAIAP1.

I am in touch with the lab to clarify this and will let you know what I find out. It might be that a different sequence than the Uniprot one is being refered to. Thank you for your patience!
