The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
IHC-P: Use at a concentration of 1 - 10 µg/ml. Perform antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC staining protocol.
IHC-Fr: Use at a concentration of 1 - 10 µg/ml.
WB: Use at a concentration of 1 - 10 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 202 kDa.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
The expression of MAP2 is developmentally regulated and its multiple forms arise by alternative splicing of a single gene. MAP2 belongs to the microtubule associated protein family. The proteins of this family are thought to be involved in microtubule assembly, which is an essential step in neurogenesis. The products of similar genes in rat and mouse are neuron specific cytoskeletal proteins that are enriched in dentrites, implicating a role in determining and stabilizing dentritic shape during neuron development. A number of alternatively spliced variants encoding distinct isforms have been described.
