Does this enzyme require activation via Furin or some other activation process for screening substrate candidates? If so is there a procedure available?

The product ab39310, full length Human MMP11 protein (purified from stimulated human fibroblasts) is supplied as a mixture of zymogen and processed (cleaved) forms. I am unaware of any procedure to activate the MMP11 protein, but if you search the current literature, I am sure you will find the correct protocol.
