Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab41094 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. This peptide can be used with studies using ab39025. Dilution optimised using Chromogenic detection. Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Endopeptidase that degrades various components of the extracellular matrix. May activate progelatinase A.
Appeared to be synthesized preferentially in liver, placenta, testis, colon and intestine. Substantial amounts are also detected in pancreas, kidney, lung, heart and skeletal muscle.
Belongs to the peptidase M10A family.
Contains 4 hemopexin-like domains.
The conserved cysteine present in the cysteine-switch motif binds the catalytic zinc ion, thus inhibiting the enzyme. The dissociation of the cysteine from the zinc ion upon the activation-peptide release activates the enzyme.
The precursor is cleaved by a furin endopeptidase.
