Did not see a band in WB with this protein. Antibody works with a mouse recombinant protein though. |

I had requested that a replacement vial be sent to you, but your colleague kindly called to let us know that we have previously credited your account for the original purchase so I am unable to send a replacement for ab39304. If you would like to try a vial from a new lot, you may purchase itthrough your original means, and if it also does not work in Western blot or zymography we would of course be happy to credit you for it.

Hi, I purchased a MMP-2 protein (ab39304). After using it for zymography I found I have 2 bands when I only expected one. I believe the upper band maybe MMP-9 and the lower MMP-2. Has anyone else found this for this product? Also, would I be able to get some extra information regarding how this product was made, how MMP-2 was purified etc. Thanks, |

Thank you for your enquiry and for your patience. I am sorry to hear you have some concerns regarding this product. I can confirm that this particular product is sourced externally. I have been in contact with them in order to obtain this information for you, and regrettably have not yet recieved a reply. Particularly as you have had difficulties with this product, It is disappointing we have not yet recieved a response for you in this case. We aim to provide as much information as possible to customers within 24 hours of receiving an enquiry. For those products we source externally, there can sometimes be a delay. However, most sources are excellent and will provide us with requested extra information very quickly. Regrettably, the originator for this product, although a trusted supplier with regards to product quality and delivery, can sometimes take longer to get back to us regarding technical enquiries. We have previously raised this issue with them. We also constantly monitor our supplier performance on a monthly basis with regards to both quality of the products and the support they provide. Actions are taken with our sources when necessary and feedback has been forwarded to the relevant people in this case. I am sincerely sorry there has been such a delay in this case. I sent this email a week ago and I was told that this was being looked into. I was wondering if you have determined anything yet. Thanks Hi, I purchased a MMP-2 protein (ab39304). Thank you for your message and for your patience. I sincerely apologise for the delay. I have contacted our source to request the information regarding the purification of the product, but they have regrettably not yet got back to me. I will contact them again today and let you know as soon as I have further information. Regarding the zymography, this protein has not been used in this application before. All tested and guaranteed applications are listed on the datasheets. In this case, I am sorry we are regrettably not able to provide our guarnateefor zymography or provide any other information regarding zymography results. I will get back to you as soon as I have more details. If you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me. |

ab39304 (rat): purified from rat lung epithelial cell culture media. The enzyme is supplied as a mixture of the zymogen and processed enzyme. This protein was purified from rat lung epithelials, and is free of its endogenous inhibitor, TIMP2, and other matrix metalloproteinases. It has been tested in zymopraphy.
