  • Application notesWB: Recommended starting dilution of 1/1000 when using colorimetric substrates such as BCIP/NBT and 1/5000 when using chemiluminescent substrates. Predicted molecular weight: 53 kDa. When used against the reduced protein, ab38992 identifies bands at 64 kDa, 58 kDa, and a series of further cleaved active forms. Note: MMP8 levels in quiescent cells and tissues are minimal, and mitogen stimulation or protein concentration is often needed to visualize the bands. Dilution optimised using Chromogenic detection. Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
