WB: Use at a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 75 and another >90 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 75 kDa).

Relevance
NDC1 is a component of the nuclear pore complex (NPC), which plays a key role in de novo assembly and insertion of NPC in the nuclear envelope. NDC1 is required for NPC and nuclear envelope assembly, possibly by forming a link between the nuclear envelope membrane and soluble nucleoporins, thereby anchoring the NPC in the membrane. NDC1 colocalizes with p62 (NUP62) on the nuclear envelope at the nuclear rim. The protein has 6 transmembrane domains and several putative phosphorylation sites.
