Recommended dilutions
Tested in peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16,000.
IHC-P: Use at a concentration of 5 µg/ml.
Western Blot: preliminary experiments give ~60kDa band in human liver and brain lysates at 1ug/ml. However predicted band size = 44kDa (NP_078884)
Not tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Human NEIL1 is the homologs of Escherichia coli Nei. Human NEIL1 is a DNA glycosylase, that phylogenetically belongs to the Fpg/Nei family, primarily found in the bacterial kingdom and is functionally homologous to bacterial Nei. Thymine glycol, a potentially lethal DNA lesion produced by reactive oxygen species, can be removed by DNA glycosylases. The NEIL1 gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 15 that is frequently deleted in human cancers.

ab14753 at 5ug/ml staining NEIL1 in human placental tissue section by Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA fixed paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue underwent antigen retrieval in steam with citrate buffer (pH 6.0). A AP-staining procedure was used for detection.
