Application notes

Recommended dilutions IHC-P: Use at a concentration of 5 µg/ml. Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16,000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 50kDa band in Human Heart lysates after 0.1µg/ml antibody staining. The 50kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observed at size of 107kDa.
Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Relevance
|
NIR1 is calcium ion binding, has phosphatidylinositol transporter activity and receptor tyrosine kinase binding. It catalyzes the transfer of phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine between membranes. NIR1 binds calcium ions and interacts with PTK2B via its C-terminus. Expression is detected in brain, spleen and ovary.
