Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab8324 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
sELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Can be paired for Sandwich ELISA with Mouse monoclonal [1C1] to NSE - Neuronal Marker (ab8328). For sandwich ELISA, we recommend using this antibody for capture with ab24472 as detection. Can be used as capture antibody in conjunction with ab8328 and ab24472.
ICC/IF: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Can be paired for ELISA with Mouse monoclonal [1C1] to NSE - Neuronal Marker (ab8328).
IHC-FoFr: 1/100 - 1/300.
IHC-P: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Recommended dilution for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded sections is 1:100 - 1:300. Optimal dilution must be determined by experimentation.
Has neurotrophic and neuroprotective properties on a broad spectrum of central nervous system (CNS) neurons. Binds, in a calcium-dependent manner, to cultured neocortical neurons and promotes cell survival.
The alpha/alpha homodimer is expressed in embryo and in most adult tissues. The alpha/beta heterodimer and the beta/beta homodimer are found in striated muscle, and the alpha/gamma heterodimer and the gamma/gamma homodimer in neurons.
Carbohydrate degradation; glycolysis; pyruvate from D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate: step 4/5.
Belongs to the enolase family.
During ontogenesis, there is a transition from the alpha/alpha homodimer to the alpha/beta heterodimer in striated muscle cells, and to the alpha/gamma heterodimer in nerve cells.
Cytoplasm. Cell membrane. Can translocate to the plasma membrane in either the homodimeric (alpha/alpha) or heterodimeric (alpha/gamma) form.
