Biological activity
Activity: Greater than 200 units per mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that hydrolyzes one µmole of Z-Arg-Arg-beta-naphthylamide per minute at 40°C, using 100 mM Na/K phosphate, pH 6.0, with 1.33 mM EDTA and 2 mM DTT as the activation buffer.
Prepared from tissue shown to be non reactive for HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HBc, and negative for anti-HIV 1 & 2 by FDA approved tests.
