Target
Function
Adapter protein involved in asymmetrical cell division and cell polarization processes. Probably involved in the formation of epithelial tight junctions. Association with PARD3 may prevent the interaction of PARD3 with F11R/JAM1, thereby preventing tight junction assembly. The PARD6-PARD3 complex links GTP-bound Rho small GTPases to atypical protein kinase C proteins.

Expressed in pancreas, skeletal muscle, brain and heart. Weakly expressed in kidney and placenta.

Ab6022 (10ug/ml) staining human PAR6 in human pancreas by immunohistochemistry using paraffin embedded tissue. Microwaved antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9, HRP-staining.
Ab6022 shows strong cytoplasmic staining in rare cells of intralobular ducts.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - PAR6 antibody (ab6022)
ab6022 at 5ug/ml staining PAR6 in human heart tissue section by Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA fixed paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue underwent antigen retrieval in steam with citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The AP-staining procedure was used for detection.
