SDS-PAGE: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
ab81957 has been utilized for in vitro function studies, including transcription, DNA replication, in vitro phosphorylation, gel mobility shift assay, protein-protein interactions and as a substrate for in vitro acetylation. 20 units are sufficient for reconstituted transcription assay and 100 units are sufficient for a protein-protein interaction assay.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

modificationsActivity is controlled by protein kinases that target the regulatory region. Phosphorylation inactivates both ds DNA-binding and cofactor function, but does not affect binding to ssDNA. Seems to be phosphorylated in vivo by CK2 in at least 7 sites in the N-terminal Ser-rich region.
