I am working with rat derived tissues and want to study proprotein convertases. I am designing a series of knock down assays for expressed PC's. Your PC5/6 antibodies are designed against human antigens. I am not sure if the epitotes used to develop your antibodies are orthogolous to the rat forms. I have not had luck finding the antibody prepared against rat proteins. Could you offer a sample quantity for me to test prior to purchasing? Did you have discounts or sell in smaller volumes? I hope to report my results about antibody reactivity to proteins. Please let me know if you can accomadate me.

We do not routinely offer free or trial sized samples for testing purposes. Our policy at Abcam is that if an antibody does not work as specified on the datasheet, we will offer a replacement or reimbursement. If the antibody is being used in an untested species or application, we cannot offer a replacement or refund; however, we invite you to use our Abreview system.

I can tell you that ab39873 will recognize human, rat and mouse PC5/6. The immunogen sequence differs by a single residue in the corresponding human and rat sequence.
