Question 1

Thursday 08-April-2010

Could you at least tell me whether it binds in the prodomain, catalytic domain or c-terminal domain?

ANSWER:

Thank you for your patience.

The nomenclature for the Homo-B domain comes from comparative alignments with the other members of the Proprptein Convertase family, notably PC-4. The Homo-B like domain is the carboxyterminal half of the PCKS protein. The epitope for ab42086 is close to the carboxyterminal end of the PC-9 protein.

I hope this helps.
