| Application | Notes |
|---|---|
| ChIP | ChIP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. PubMed: 21247904 |
| IP | IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. PubMed: 21247904 |
| ICC/IF | ICC/IF: 1/500. |
| WB | WB: 1/500. Predicted molecular weight: 56 kDa.Can be blocked with PPAR gamma 2 peptide (1-16) (ab41762). By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~56 kDa protein representing PPAR gamma 2 from NIH-3T3 cell lysate. |
| Functional Studies | FuncS: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Ab45036 inhibits PPAR gamma 2 DNA binding. |
Target
- RelevanceThe Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptors (PPARs) are members of the nuclear hormone receptor subfamily of transcription factors. PPARs form heterodimers with retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and these heterodimers regulate transcription of various genes. There are 3 known subtypes of PPARs, PPAR alpha, PPAR delta and PPAR gamma. PPAR gamma is believed to be involved in adipocyte differentiation.
