All lanes : Anti-PTP mu antibody (ab23820) at 1/1000 dilution
Lane 1 : As above
Lane 2 : As above
Lane 3 : As above
Performed under reducing conditions.
Predicted band size : 163.6 kDa
Observed band size : 90,180 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
Immunoblot analysis of the PTP mu protein. Transiently transfected COS cells were analyzed for PTP mu expression.
Lane 1: lysates of cells tranfected with vector pMT2m without insert.
Lane 2: lysates of cells transfected with pMT2TR containing a truncated form of the hPTP mu cDNA.
Lane 3: lysates of cells transfected with pMT2mFL containing a full length mPTP mu cDNA.
Sizes of molecular mass markers are shown in kDa.
Antibody dilution: 1/1000

SDS-PAGE analysis of anti-PTP mu immunoprecipitates. Lysates from 3T3[FL] cells labeled with [35S] methionine for 2 h were precipitated with:
Lane 1: PTP mu rabbit polyclonal C-terminal ab23820
Lane C: control antibody (anti-GST),
Lanes 2-8: anti-PTP mu mAbs, including:
Lane 5, 3D7 (ab23865)
Lane 8, 2C10 (ab23879)
The antibodies precipitate both the uncleaved form of PTP mu (~200 kDa) as well as a cleaved form (100 kDa doublet).
