Anti-Plastin L antibody [LPL4A.1] - BSA and Azide free
See all Plastin L products (7) ...
Mouse monoclonal [LPL4A.1] to Plastin L - BSA and Azide free
ab80729 recognizes Plastin L in a Ca2+ independent fashion but does not react with T- or I- Plastin. We have data to indicate that this antibody may not cross react with Mouse. However, this has not been conclusively tested and expression levels may vary in certain cell lines/tissues.

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab80729 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
ICC/IF: Fixed in methanol or 3% paraformaldehyde. Use at an assay dependent dilution.
IP: Use at 2µg/mg of lysate.
WB: Use at a concentration of 1 - 2 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 70 kDa.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Actin-binding protein. Plays a role in the activation of T-cells in response to costimulation through TCR/CD3 and CD2 or CD28. Modulates the cell surface expression of IL2RA/CD25 and CD69.
Detected in intestinal microvilli, hair cell stereocilia, and fibroblast filopodia, in spleen and other lymph node-containing organs. Expressed in peripheral blood T lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes, B lymphocytes, and myeloid cells.
Contains 2 actin-binding domains.
Contains 4 CH (calponin-homology) domains.
Contains 2 EF-hand domains.
Phosphorylated on a serine residue in response to costimulation through TCR/CD3 and CD2 or CD28. Serine phosphorylation promotes association with the actin cytoskeleton and targeting to peripheral cell projections.
The N-terminus is blocked.
Cytoplasm > cytoskeleton. Cell junction. Cell projection. Cell projection > ruffle membrane. Relocalizes to the immunological synapse between peripheral blood T lymphocytes and antibody-presenting cells in response to costimulation through TCR/CD3 and CD2 or CD28. Associated with the actin cytoskeleton at membrane ruffles (By similarity). Relocalizes to actin-rich cell projections upon serine phosphorylation.
