Signaling by semaphorin 3E and its receptor plexin-D1 controls endothelial cell positioning and the patterning of the developing vasculature in the mouse.
Interruption of Plexin D1 pathway in mice results in congenital heart disease and vascular patterning defects due to endothelial defects.
Results of extensive mutational analysis leads to the exclusion of the PLEXIN-D1 gene as the causative gene in Mobius syndrome 2, and in isolated Mobius syndrome.

 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Plexin D1 antibody (ab28762)
ab28762 at 1/300 dilution, staining Plexin D1 in mouse brain tissue sections by IHC-P (Formalin / PFA fixed prafaffin embedded sections). Tissue underwent formaldehyde fixation, heat mediated antigen retrieval in Citrate buffer pH 6.0 and blocked in 5% serum for 1 hour. The primary antibody was used at 1/300 dillution for 1 hour. A Biotin-conjugated rabbit polyclonal to goat IgG was used as secondary at 1/250 dillution.
