Application notes

IHC-P: 1/10, for 30 min at RT. Perform enzymatic antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC staining protocol. The staining pattern is visualized as homogeneous rings corresponding to individual cyst walls. In addition, free extra-cystic P. jiroveci (trophozoites) are stained.

Not tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Pneumocystis jiroveci was formerly known as Pneumocystis carinii. It causes the disease known as Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP) which is one of the leading causes of illness and death in persons with impaired immunity caused by HIV, organ transplantation or chemotherapy for malignant diseases.
