Question 1

Thanks for your kindly reply; this customer would like to conduct the non-conventional application which process is similar to ELISA application. I attached the purpose image in this letter; this customer wants to know whether this experiment can work well or not? Please check this and offer any suggestion to her. Thanks for your kindly help Best regards |
ANSWER: |

Thank you for your reply. I have reviewed the details of this experiment and have the following feedback: 1. ab119154 Prostate Specific Antigen protein is full length human protein, so should be detected by both ab77310 and ab102885. 2. The ab102885 Easylink conjugation kit would be suitable for conjugating FITC to ab10187. 3. In theory, the experiment the customer has described should work. However, these antibodies have not been tested in this type of application, an I am sorry we would not be able to guarantee them for this. 4. Also, as discussed in the previous email, for sandwich ELISa type experiments, we would suggest to use a matched pair. ab10187 has been tested as a matched pair withthe following: Mouse monoclonal [5A6] to Prostate Specific Antigen (ab10185) Click here (or use the following: http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=10185). Mouse monoclonal [8A6] to Prostate Specific Antigen (ab10187) Click here (or use the following: http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=10187). Mouse monoclonal [5A6] to Prostate Specific Antigen (HRP) (ab24466). Click here (or use the following: http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=24466). (please note this is already HRP conjugated and therefore may not be suitable) For the detection of total PSA, ab10184 can be used as a capture antibody in conjugation with ab10185 or with ab24466 (HRP-conjugated version). For the detection of free PSA, ab10184 can be used as a capture antibody in conjugation with ab10187.) These are unfortunately not biotin conjugated. However, we do have a biotin conjugation kits. I can recommend to review the online datasheets for further important information on how to use these kits: ab102864 EasyLink Biotin (type A) Conjugation Kit (3 x 100µg Biotin) http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102864 (or use the following: http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102864). ab102865 EasyLink Biotin (type A) Conjugation Kit (3 x 10µg Biotin) http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102865 (or use the following: http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102865). ab102866 EasyLink Biotin (type B) Conjugation Kit (1 x 1mg Biotin) http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102866 (or use the following: http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102866). ab102867 EasyLink Biotin (type B) Conjugation Kit (3 x 100µg Biotin) http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102867 (or use the following: http://www.abcam.com/index.html?datasheet=102867). I hope this information will be helpful. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. |
