Question 1

Monday 19-March-2012

Dear technical support: This customer has highly interested in ab9537 (Anti-Prostate Specific Antigen antibody) and ab119154 (Prostate Specific Antigen protein), this customer would like to know can ab9537 recognize to ab119154 or not? If not, could you please offer this customer any antibody and antigen which can specific recognizing to each other? Could you please help this customer to solve the problem? Thanks for your kindly help. Best regards

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry and interest.

Could you please clarify and confirm in what type of assay/application your customer is looking for a primary antibody and antigen? This would be important for me to know to be able to suggest the best products for you and your customer.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Question 2

Thursday 13-April-2006

don't you agree that the information on the data sheet about the antibody concentration 1.5 mg/ml is wrong?

ANSWER:

Thank you for your email. I'm replying on behalf of Charlotte who is currently away from the office.

To clarify the concentration of this product, the concentration of the anti-PSA IgG is 100 ug/ml. This antibody has not been affinity purified (the purity of the antibody is IgG fraction) and the 1.5 mg/ml is the concentration of all the IgGs present. The 1.5 mg/ml information on the datasheet is misleading and I have removed it. I apologize for any confusion.

I hope this helps, please contact us again if you have any additional questions.

Question 3

Tuesday 04-April-2006

I would like to ask you to check the concentration information of AB9537 anti PSA antibody. Can you check whether it is indeed 1.5 mg/ml. I purified it using perce melon gel and found the rabbit IgG is only 100 ng/ml.

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry.

Following correspondence with the lab I have determined that the total protein conc. of this antibody is 1.5 mg/ml but the IgG conc. is 100 ug/ml.

Please can you confirm that you mean 100 ng/ml and not 100 ug/ml.

Question 4

Thursday 16-March-2006

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately we cannot order a large amount. Do you mind give me the contact information of the antibody originator? I thought it would not be very difficult by NOT adding BSA. Second question: if it is impossible to get the above BSA-free antibody, how about the ab403 and ab2218. Do they contain BSA or any other proteins in their storage buffer?

ANSWER:

Thank you for your email. I can't tell you the name of the originator of ab9537 as that information is proprietary.

I double-checked ab403 and ab2218, and both of these do not contain BSA or other proteins in the storage buffer. Ab403 consists of preservative: 0.1% Sodium Azide, and constituents: sodium chloride, citrate / phosphate. pH 6.0. Ab2218 consists of preservative: 15mM sodium azide, and constituents: PBS. pH 7.4.

Please contact us again if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Question 5

Friday 10-March-2006

I measured the concentration of this antibody by spectral photometer and found the concentration is much higher than 1.5 mg/ml (it is around 5 mg/ml). Could you please double check it for me that this antibody has no any other proteins in the storage buffer? Thank you very much.

ANSWER:

Thank you for your email. I checked with the antibody's originator again and the antibody is suspended in PBS which contains BSA. I apologize as this information was not mentioned before. I have now added it to the online datasheet.

Please contact us again if you have any additional questions.
