Recommended dilutions
WB: Use at a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 37 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 35 kDa). Can be blocked with R2D2 peptide (ab17669).
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

The RNA interference (RNAi) pathway is initiated by processing long double-stranded RNA into small interfering RNA (siRNA). The siRNA-generating enzyme consists of DCR-2 and R2D2. R2D2 is homologous to the Caenorhabditis elegans RNAi protein RDE-4.

Lane 1 : Drosophila lysate
Lane 2 : Drosophila lysate with R2D2 peptide (ab17669) at 1 µg/ml
Lysates/proteins at 20 µg per lane.
Predicted band size : 35 kDa
Observed band size : 37 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
Additional bands at : 17 kDa (possible cross reactivity),65 kDa (possible cross reactivity).
ab14750 specifically recognises a band at 37kDa corresponding to R2D2, which is blocked using the immunising peptide (ab17669).
