RAB23 is a member of the small GTPase superfamily. It is thought to function as an antagonist of hedgehog mediated signaling, possibly by regulating cellular trafficking of proteins that influence the hedgehog pathway. Defects in RAB23 are the cause of Carpenter syndrome.

Lysates/proteins at 2 µg per lane.
Predicted band size : 27 kDa
Observed band size : 30 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
Additional bands at : 55 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.
