Recommended dilutions Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1:32,000. IHC-P: Use at a concentration of 0.3 µg/ml. In paraffin embedded Human Tonsil, stains most cells in the mantle zone and interfollicular area. In the germinal centres the majority of cells are negative. WB: Use at a concentration of 0.3 - 3 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 21 kDa.
Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Relevance
|
RAC2 is a small signaling G protein (more specifically a GTPase), and is a member of the RAC subfamily of the family Rho family of GTPases. RAC proteins play important roles in multiple cellular events, including actin cytoskeletal organization, cell proliferation and survival, cell cycle progression, and gene transcription regulation. RAC1 and RAC2 are also essential components of NADPH oxidase, the enzyme responsible for generating free radicals.

Western blot - RAC2 antibody (ab2244)
RAC2 antibody (ab2244) at 2 µg/ml + MOLT-4 lysate (RIPA buffer, 35ug total protein per lane).
Predicted band size : 21 kDa Observed band size : 22 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
Primary incubated for 1 hour. Detected by western blot using chemiluminescence.

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - RAC2 antibody (ab2244)
Ab2244 (0.3μg/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Tonsil. Microwaved antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9, HRP-staining. A) Strong staining in the interfollicular area and mantle zone but the majority of cells in germinal centre are negative. B) Higher magnification of interfollicular area showing positive cells.
