Question 1

Tuesday 08-May-2012

Thanks for your answer. I am not surprised to read that this sequence is proprietary information, but usually people give at least a longer sequence in which they say the immunogenic sequence is included.

In other words, I would like to know what you consider is within the C-terminus of the protein. I am investigating the presence of proteolytic fragments of the protein and trying to determine where is the truncation using your antibodies, that’s why it is important for me to know a little more about it.

ANSWER:

Thank you for your reply.

The antibody ab78127 is not one that is produced by Abcam, we license it from another supplier. I have been in contact with them and they are unable to provide anymore information regarding the immunogen sequence.

We do have a few other RabBP9 antibodies where the immnuogen sequence is available, maybe one of them would work for you:

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Question 2

Tuesday 08-May-2012

I have a question about the rabbit anti-RanBP9 antibody, Cat. No ab78127.

On the datasheet, it is written that the epitope is located in the C-terminus.

Could you please indicate this sequence, as you did for several other anti-RanBP9 antibodies?

Thanks,

ANSWER:

Thank you for contacting Abcam.

The immunogen sequence for ab78127 is proprietary information and so I am unable to provide the epitope sequence.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
