Relevance
|
Ribophorins I and II represent proteins that appear to be involved in ribosome binding. They are abundant, highly conserved glycoproteins located exclusively in the membranes of the rough endoplasmic reticulum. Ribophorin I forms a complex with ribophorin II, OST48 and DAD1 in the endoplasmic reticulum, which has oligosaccharyltransferase activity.
