Properties
The antagonist activity of the ab118171 ligand was shown by blocking the activity of the non-selective β agonist, isoprenaline, in the same CHO cell lines.
The cyclic AMP-induced expression of SPAP was measured under basal and forskolin-stimulated (maximal) conditions. Cells were treated with isoprenaline alone, or in the presence of 1 µM ab118171.
The KD was calculated from the shift of the agonist response curve in the presence of ab118171, compared to the response curve for the agonist alone, for 3 β receptor expressing cells.
