Question 1

Tuesday 08-May-2007

Can you tell me the epitope sequence for ab11165? Is it within this sequence MSVQVVSAAAAAKVPEVELKDLSPSEAE? Is it this sequence SQLGLSTAAVGAMAPPAGGG?

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry.

The epitope recognized by ab11165 maps to a region between residues 1 and 50 of human adenosylhomocysteinase 3 (KIAA0828) using the numbering given in entry NP_056143.1 (GeneID 23382). 1 MSVQVVSAAA AAKVPEVELK DLSPSEAESQ LGLSTAAVGA MAPPAGGGDP

I am sorry I can not disclose the actual epitope sequence information as it is proprietary. I hope this information will still be useful to you.

Question 2

Monday 28-November-2005

Would you tell me if there are other cell lines could be act as positive control of ab11165 or ab11166 except Hela cell?

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry. The only lysate that has been tested with the antibodies ab11165 and ab11166 is HeLa whole cell lysate therefore this is the only lysate we guarantee will have good levels of the SAH3 protein. I was unable to find references where this protein has been reported to be expressed in other cells.

Sorry I couldn't help you more on this occasion,
