Anti-SCP1 antibody (ab15087)

We ordered SCP1 antibody (ab15090) on Oct 6, 2009 by one person in our lab. When I used this antibody for meiotic spread staining recently, the antibody stained the whole X and Y chromosomes (it should stain only autosomes and only a small region on sex chromosomes). I checked the staining patterns published inDevelopment 139, 1133-1140 (2012, that SCP1 antibody indeed stained the whole sex chromosomes. So this antibody does not work appropriately. I found that you have another SCP1 antibody ab15087. Could you please send us some sample for trial? Thank you.

Also, if you are concerned that the staining pattern is incorrect, I would recommend speaking to your lab colleague as to why they felt the staining was specific enough to publish with and also why they did not question the specificity of the antibody. Also were you using the exact same protocol as your lab colleague?

SCP-1 ab15090(mouse) SCP-1 ab15087(human),

However SCP-1 ab15090 only can be applied in mouse in direction,SCP-1 ab15087 can be applied to ICC/IF,but I want to use SCP-1 antibody in immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded tumor samples from human beings.So I want to know which of them can be used in my research and whether or not SCP-1 (ab15090)can be applied to immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded tumor samples from human beings.I want to choose one of them. I can confirm that ab15090 is not likely to cross react with human as the immunogen shares only 83% homology with the human protein. Unfortunately ab15087 will work in human but does not appear to work in immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded sections.
