modifications
Tyrosine phosphorylated in response to IL-2, IL-3, IL-7, IL-15, GM-CSF, growth hormone, prolactin, erythropoietin and thrombopoietin. Tyrosine phosphorylation is required for DNA-binding activity and dimerization. Serine phosphorylation is also required for maximal transcriptional activity.

Predicted band size : 95 kDa
Observed band size : 90 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
SK-BR-3 lysates were resolved by SDS-PAGE on a 10%Trisglycine gel and transferred to PVDF. The membrane was blocked with a 5% BSA-TBST buffer for one hour at room temperature, then incubated with 1.0 ug/mL STAT 5 antibody for two hours at room temperature in a 3% BSA-TBST buffer. After washing, the membrane was incubated with goat F(ab')2 anti-rabbit IgG HRP conjugate and signals were detected using the Pierce SuperSignal method.
