Question 1

Tuesday 05-July-2005

Customer is interested in using ab10554 in confocal microscopy. He's interested in using ab6717 and ab6793 as the secondary antibodies. How long approximately will the fluorescent signal last?

ANSWER:

Thank you for your enquiry. We cannot give you an exact time before which the signal will fade with these fluorophore conjugated secondary antibodies. The signal could last a week (the time frame that you mentioned that you would need) if your samples are prepared and stored under the correct conditions (at 4C in the dark). However, we do not know this for sure. Also, some fluorophores will fade faster than others. Please note that ab10554 has not yet been tested for application in confocal microscopy.

Question 3

Monday 13-October-2003

is your polyclonal anti-rabbit Ab absorbed against rat and mouse serum?

ANSWER:

The immunogen is Rabbit IgG, whole molecule, so Ab6793 recognizes rabbit immunoglobulins specifically. We have no information if this antibody cross-reacts with rat and mouse IgG.
