WB Use a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 48 kDa.
Indirect ELISA Use a concentration of 0.5 - 2 µg/ml. (using 100 µl/well antibody solution). This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human soluble TNF Receptor II.
Sandwich ELISA Use a concentration of 0.5 - 2 µg/ml. Can be paired for Sandwich ELISA with Rabbit polyclonal to Soluble TNF Receptor II (Biotin) (ab83158). (using 100 µl/well antibody solution). This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with ab83158 as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human soluble TNF Receptor II.

Target

  • FunctionReceptor with high affinity for TNFSF2/TNF-alpha and approximately 5-fold lower affinity for homotrimeric TNFSF1/lymphotoxin-alpha. The TRAF1/TRAF2 complex recruits the apoptotic suppressors BIRC2 and BIRC3 to TNFRSF1B/TNFR2. This receptor mediates most of the metabolic effects of TNF-alpha. Isoform 2 blocks TNF-alpha-induced apoptosis, which suggests that it regulates TNF-alpha function by antagonizing its biological activity.
