TAF 15 belongs to the RNA polymerase II (Pol II) transcriptional multiprotein complex, together with the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and other TBP-associated factors (TAF(II)s). It is an RNA and ssDNA binding protein that may play specific roles during transcription initiation at distinct promoters, and can enter the preinitiation complex together with RNA polymerase II (Pol II).

Lane 1 : Whole cell lysate from 293T cells
at 200 µg
Lane 2 : Whole cell lysate from 293T cells immunoprecipitated with rabbit IgG control.
Lane 3 : Whole cell lysate from 293T cells immunoprecipitated with 0.3 µg/ml ab70389.
Predicted band size : 62 kDa
Observed band size : 70 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
Additional bands at : 30 kDa (possible IgG),60 kDa (possible IgG).
10 mg of Whole cell lysate from 293T cells was used for IP.
