Relevance
|
TAG1 (Transient Axonal Glycoprotein 1), also known as contactin 2, is a GPI-anchored protein that is expressed on neurons and glial cells. It comprises 4 fibronectin type III domains and 6 Ig-like C2 domains. It is thought to play a role in the initial growth and guidance of axons, and may also be involved in cell adhesion. TAG1 may also play a role in glial tumorigenesis.
