Recommended dilutions
EMSA: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution.
IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution.

WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Detects a band of approximately 37 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 35 kDa).
This antibody can also immuno-deplete TFIIB from cell nuclear extracts and inhibit transcription of TFIIB from cell nuclear extracts. This antibody is polyol-responsive and can be used for gentle purification of TFIIB.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Relevance
|
TFIIB is one of the ubiquitous factors required for transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II. The protein localizes to the nucleus where it forms a complex (the DAB complex) with transcription factors IID and IIA. Transcription factor IIB serves as a bridge between IID, the factor which initially recognizes the promoter sequence, and RNA polymerase II.
