Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - TIMP2 antibody (ab74216)
Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab74216 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
IHC-P: 1/50 for 10 min at RT.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Predicted molecular weight: 24 kDa.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Complexes with metalloproteinases (such as collagenases) and irreversibly inactivates them by binding to their catalytic zinc cofactor. Known to act on MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-7, MMP-8, MMP-9, MMP-10, MMP-13, MMP-14, MMP-15, MMP-16 and MMP-19.
Belongs to the protease inhibitor I35 (TIMP) family.
Contains 1 NTR domain.
The activity of TIMP2 is dependent on the presence of disulfide bonds.
Secreted.
