    The Rat TNF Elipair includes both the capture and the detection antibodies as well as Horse-Radish peroxidase conjugated Streptavidin (HRP-Strep) and TMB which are the reagents used in the colour development step.

    This Elipair set is intended to measure Rat TNF in cell-culture supernatants, as well as in serum and plasma samples. The enclosed procedures provide general guidelines for ELISA preparation. This procedure may need some optimization depending on the plastic, matrix, standard range.

Properties

  • RelevanceTNF-alpha is a cytokine that binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR. It is mainly secreted by macrophages and can induce cell death of certain tumor cell lines. TNF-alpha is a potent pyrogen causing fever by direct action or by stimulation of interleukin 1 secretion and is implicated in the induction of cachexia, under certain conditions it can stimulate cell proliferation and induce cell differentiation.

      Hi, I meant to reference catalog number ab48910.  It is an Elipair for Rat TNF alpha.  I wanted to know about the shelf life and any tests for cross reactivity. 

      Thanks for your reply. ab48910 can be stored @ 4 C for 1-2 weeks. You can aliqout and store it @ -20 or -80 for extended storage. You just want to avoid repeated freeze/ thaw cycles. ab48910 has only been tested in rat. But based upon seque...
