Overview

Product name

Anti-Thrombospondin antibody [TSP-B7]
See all Thrombospondin products (11) ...

Description

Mouse monoclonal [TSP-B7] to Thrombospondin

Specificity

The antibody does not cross react with human thrombin, fibrinogen, fibronectin, laminin or serum albumin. Cross-reactivity with fetal calf serum has been observed, therefore the presence of fetal calf serum in an assay system may interfere with antibody activity.

Tested applications

ELISA, WB, IPmore details

Cross reactivity

Reacts with

Human

Immunogen

Thrombin induced platelet releasate (Human).

General notes

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use.

Applications

Show applications key

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab11579 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

  • ELISA

  • WB

  • IP

Application notes

ELISA: 1/1000. This concentration was determined using thrombin-induced platelet releasate as the coat (1:250 dilution of releasate from 1 unit of thrombocyte concentrate/ml of PBS).
IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. This technique can be used with heat-killed, fixed suspensions of Staphylococcus aureus or Sepharose-Protein A.
WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Predicted molecular weight of protein in native state: 420 kDa.

Not tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Target

Function

Adhesive glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions.
