I want to know the concentration of the antibody from abcam. The antibody is "Sheep polyclonal to VAV2 (ab16136)" and the lot # is 96687. My purpose is to detect Vav2 protein by Western blotting, furthermore I will use sheep IgG as negative control. In this reason, I need to know the concentration of Vav2 antibody. I am looking forward to your answer. Thank you very much for your assistance. |

Has this antibody been tested to determine if it reacts with Vav1 or 3? |
|||||||||
ANSWER: |
Thank you for your enquiry. Ab16136 has not been specifically tested to see if it reacts with Vav 1 or 3. The immunogen used was a peptide from aa 287-578 of Human VAV2. You can Blast this sequence to see what the overlap is between Vav 2 and Vav 1 and Vav 3. I did this, and with human Vav 3 there is 57% identity and with human Vav 1 there is 55% identity. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions. |
