Recommended dilutions IHC-P: Use at a concentration of 2.5 - 5.5 µg/ml.
Neutralization:To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of hVEGF (10.0 ng/ml), a concentration of 0.05 - 0.1 µg/ml of this antibody is required.
ELISA:To detect hVEGF by direct ELISA (using 100µl/well antibody solution) a concentration of at least 0.5µg/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hVEGF.
WB: Use at an assay dependent concentration.
Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Relevance
|
VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) is a homodimeric, disulfide-linked glycoprotein involved in angiogenesis which promotes tumor progression and metastasis. It exhibits potent mitogenic and permeability inducing properties specific for the vascular endothelium. Of the four isoforms of VEGF, the smaller two, VEGF 165 and VEGF 121, are secreted proteins and act as diffusible agents, whereas the larger two (VEGF 189 and VEGF 206) remain cell associated.

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - VEGF antibody (ab9570)
ab9570 staining VEGF in human breast invasive ductal carcinoma section by Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA fixed paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue underwent heat mediated antigen retrieval in sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The primary antibody was used at 2.5 ug/ml and incubated with sample at 4°C overnight. A HRP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a DAB chromogen.
